I have been a music enthusiast for as long as I can remember, saving my lawn-mowing money to buy records, both standard and audiophile editions. I was always chasing better sound, better gear, and better experiences. During the COVID years, I came across an article in The Absolute Sound (April 2019 issue) about Robert Harley building a listening room, which inspired me to create one of my own. How hard could it be?
Armed with only basic construction skills, just enough to hang a picture or install a shelf, I used that article as a roadmap to build my ideal listening space. Several years later, in October, the room was finally complete.
Our Services
I offer three levels of service to help you create the ideal listening environment. The Remote Room Review provides a virtual assessment of your space, discussing its purpose, challenges, and possible improvements within your budget and timeline. The On-Site Room Consultation adds an in-person visit for a deeper understanding of the room’s design and acoustics, ensuring all project elements align before proceeding. For those starting from scratch, the New Room Design service brings your listening space to life, defining how it will look, sound, and feel, while accommodating a broader budget and timeline.
Remote Room Review
We offer a virtual assessment of your listening space using photos and discussion. We explore the room’s purpose, challenges, and areas for improvement. Budget, timeline, and practical enhancement options are also reviewed to optimize your listening experience.
On-Site Room Consultation
This is a remote review with an in-person visit for a deeper understanding of your space. It allows for a detailed evaluation of the room’s design, usage, and improvement potential. We willl align budget, timeline, and goals to ensure a balanced and successful project plan.
New Room Design
This service is for creating a listening room from the ground up. We work together to shape how the space will look, sound, and feel based on your vision. As a new build, it typically involves a broader budget and longer timeline to achieve the best results.
